WOD: Murph Day Challenge hosted by CrossFit Austin
"Murph"
For time:
1 mile run
100 pullups
200 pushups
300 squats
1 mile run
Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you've got a twenty pound vest or body armor, wear it.

A lot of the CrossFit Central crew showed up and wrecked house! Carey Kepler, Kris Kepler, Jeremy Thiel and Andy Lewis were some top performers. I'll post a photo or two shortly...

My time was: 59:33 rx'd! That's with the 20 lbs vest. Maui wowee that was tough. There really aren't words. The CrossFit Austin gym was a getting warm by 10:30AM when my group started... felt like training in a sauna but I enjoyed it... of course the Coors Light and burgers afterwards helped!

From CrossFit.com: "Murph" is named in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005. This workout was one of Mike's favorites and he'd named it "Body Armor." From here on it will be referred to as "Murph" in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.
